FACULTY & STAFF
The Community of Hope Academy Mission (CHAM) is a Christ-centered school in rural Liberia committed to providing students with academic, spiritual, vocational, and practical education. Its approach integrates classroom learning with Christian character formation, mentorship, counseling, agriculture, technology, entrepreneurship, health awareness, and community service.
The faculty and staff form one unified educational and operational team responsible for putting the Academy's mission into practice. Their roles extend beyond teaching and administration to include mentoring, counseling, pastoral support, vocational training, student development, community engagement, and school operations.
-
Administrative Leadership: Provides direction, academic and operational supervision, staff coordination, student welfare, accountability, policy implementation, and community relations through servant leadership.
-
Teaching Faculty: Develop students' academic knowledge, critical thinking, communication, discipline, creativity, Christian character, and lifelong-learning skills while recognizing individual needs and potential.
-
Mentorship and Counseling: Supports students with personal, family, behavioral, social, and developmental challenges while providing guidance, encouragement, accountability, and Christian care.
-
Vocational and Practical Education: Connects education with productive work through agriculture, Farming God's Way, health awareness, carpentry, tailoring, home economics, soap-making, technology, entrepreneurship, and other locally relevant skills.
-
Community Engagement: Connects the school with rural community development through health, sanitation, agriculture, humanitarian activities, youth development, and educational outreach.
-
Non-Teaching and Support Staff: Maintain the facilities, security, sanitation, transportation, food services, technology, logistics, student welfare, and other functions essential to a safe and effective learning environment.
All CHAM faculty and staff are expected to work together and demonstrate:
Christian Faith • Academic Excellence • Integrity • Discipline • Respect • Compassion • Accountability • Professionalism • Teamwork • Service
Their central commitment is to educate the mind, develop character, strengthen faith, build practical skills, and prepare students to serve their families and communities.
Ultimately, CHAM seeks to develop responsible, skilled, disciplined, compassionate, and God-fearing individuals who can contribute positively to their families, communities, Liberia, and the wider world. The faculty and staff are therefore essential to transforming CHAM's mission from a written statement into daily educational practice.

MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDER, CEO, & Proprietor
Beloved Students, Parents, Faculty, Staff, and Friends of Community of Hope Academy Mission,
It is with great joy, gratitude, and renewed commitment that I welcome you to Community of Hope Academy Mission (CHAM).
Our Academy was established with a simple but powerful conviction: every child deserves an opportunity to learn, to grow, to discover their God-given potential, and to become a blessing to others. Education is more than the transfer of information; it is the formation of character, the development of skills, the awakening of purpose, and the preparation of young people to serve God and humanity.
At Community of Hope Academy Mission, we believe that hope can be taught, faith can be strengthened, knowledge can be cultivated, and opportunity can be created. Therefore, our commitment goes beyond the classroom. We seek to nurture students academically, spiritually, morally, socially, and practically—equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to face life's challenges and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
To our students: never allow your present circumstances to define your future. Your background does not determine your destiny. Believe that you can learn, improve, create, lead, and serve. Work hard, respect your teachers and parents, care for one another, and never be ashamed to ask questions. Your education is an investment in the person you are becoming.
To our teachers and staff: you are not merely employees of an institution; you are builders of lives. Every lesson you teach, every word of encouragement you give, and every example you demonstrate may influence a child's future in ways you may never fully see. Teach with patience, integrity, excellence, and compassion.
To our parents and guardians: thank you for entrusting your children to us. Education succeeds when the home, school, church, and community work together. Your encouragement, sacrifice, discipline, and partnership are essential to the success of our students.
And to our community and supporters: Community of Hope Academy Mission is a reminder that meaningful change begins when people are willing to invest in others. Every contribution—whether financial, material, spiritual, professional, or simply a word of encouragement—helps build a stronger foundation for the next generation.
Our vision is not simply to produce students who can pass examinations. We want to help develop young people who can think critically, work diligently, live responsibly, serve compassionately, and lead with integrity (No gbagba, but Jaadeh). We want them to leave this institution not only with certificates, but with character, skills, confidence, faith, and a sense of responsibility to their communities.
As we move forward, let us remember our guiding principle:
“Building Communities of Hope, Faith, Knowledge & Opportunity.”
Let us continue to build—not only classrooms and facilities, but lives, families, communities, and a better future for Liberia.
I encourage every member of the Community of Hope family to embrace the journey with courage and determination. There will be challenges, but challenges can become opportunities to learn, innovate, and grow. Let us never lose sight of what is possible when faith is joined with action, knowledge with wisdom, and opportunity with responsibility.
As Scripture reminds us:
“Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established.” — Proverbs 16:3
May God continue to bless our students, teachers, parents, supporters, and the entire Community of Hope Academy Mission family. May He give us wisdom to lead, courage to serve, strength to persevere, and grace to make a lasting difference.
Together, let us educate.
Together, let us empower.
Together, let us serve.
Together, let us build hope for generations to come.
With faith, gratitude, and commitment,
Solomon B. Reeves
